Illinois Valley Safety Services, Inc. was developed in 1998 by Mark Fiorentini and Karen Peck to provide
on-site Safety and Occupational Health programs to local business including construction companies,
manufacturing, transportation, general industry, and the fire service.
Our team of dedicated and experienced safety professionals
provides valuable safety training in the the area of Hazmat, Scaffolds,
Lift Trucks, OSHA 10 and 30 Hour compliance courses, on-site Respirator
Training, Quantitative fit-testing and more.
Our Licensed Heathcare Professionals provide Occupational Health Services at the workplace.
We offer employee health screenings for OSHA Respiratory Protection which may include Questionaire Review, Blood
Pressure Checks and Pulmonary Function Testing (Spirometry).
The goal of IVSS is to initiate a proactive
approach to safety and to incorporate health and safety into good business strategies.

Mark has extensive experience in safety administration with a background
in transportation, construction, and the petrochemical industry. He has been instructing safety
courses for local colleges and corporate clients since 1994 and is actively involved with job-site
inspections for clients seeking assistance with OSHA Compliance. Mark is a firefighter
on the Utica Fire Department and a member of the Mabas 25 HazMat Team.

Karen is a Registered Nurse with experience in Occupational Health
and certification in Emergency Nursing. She is an American Heart Association Instructor for
First-Aid, CPR, AED and teaches various other courses of interest to corporate clients.
Karen is certified in Audiometry and Pulmonary Function Testing for industrial medical screening,
and is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. She works part-time in the Emergency Department at Edward Hospital in
Naperville.
